Providing Artsakh with a secure and sustainable energy source has been one of the most important issues since the end of the 2020 war.

Nowadays, having hot water seems to be accessible to everyone. Nonetheless, Haghorti village in Artsakh is not connected to a gas supply, and minimally adequate living conditions are not provided there.

The villagers have to either burn wood or use electricity to heat water, which is a serious financial burden for them, and frequent power cuts make the problem even worse.

Solar water heaters will bring positive changes for the entire village.

Only two months are left before winter comes.

In winter, we will warm up dinner, make tea, and gather around the table with just the press of a button, but the residents of Haghorti will have to bring wood to their houses to bathe their children and heat rooms.

Thanks to your support, winters in Haghorti will always be warm and safe.

The installation of solar water heaters will be co-financed.

• The Government of Artsakh Republic will cover 50% of the required amount.
• The EcoVille company will install solar water heaters and provide maintenance at a discounted price.

P. S. The amount provided by each resident is agreed upon with the families.

The capacity of solar water heaters will be determined based on the number of people in the family:

• Up to 5 people – 200-250 liters,
• 6 or more people – 300-360 liters.

The Charitable Foundation for the Development of Haghorti Community was established in 2022 by the community of Haghorti. The purpose of the Foundation is to contribute to the development of Haghorti and other communities of Martuni region.

As a result of the war in 2020, Ashot Avanesyan, a war participant, realized the urgent need to strengthen Artsakh communities and founded the "I" Educational Fund.

Ashot has built-up a goal-driven team and started to transform daily life in several Artsakh villages through a number of reform projects. MOONQ TechnoSchool in Haghorti is one of these projects.

EcoVille is a leading company specializing in solar technologies. The company will carry out the installation of solar water heaters and ongoing maintenance.

Viun is a project and campaign management agency engaged in the promotion and further expansion of the "Solar Haghorti" project.

Residents of Haghorti don’t leave their village and make it a better place to live.

4. Аnnual educational camps and regular events are held here.
5. The villagers are building a self-sufficient and economically independent community.
