5 days agoThe fundraising campaign of the NGO “Tshakhruk” aims to provide the necessary materials and professional support to preserve and develop Armenian traditional crafts. This is important because every donation is directly transformed into tools, threads, clay, and paints that give young people and community members the opportunity to create, learn, and pass on cultural heritage.
As a result of the campaign, over the course of one year more than 50 beneficiaries will have the opportunity to learn and practice pottery, carpet weaving, sewing, and doll-making skills. Through this program, national traditions will not only be preserved, but new sources of income will also be created, contributing to social inclusion. Previous experience has shown that such courses increase participants’ self-confidence and promote community cohesion.
Today, traditional crafts are at risk of disappearing. Young people lack sufficient materials and professional support to learn and apply these skills in practice. If we do not act now, we will lose not only an important part of our cultural heritage, but also opportunities for social inclusion and employment.
The NGO “Tshakhruk” plans to acquire the necessary materials—clay, threads, tools, fabrics, and paints—as well as to ensure the involvement of professional specialists. The implementation stages include:
Procurement and distribution of materials to beneficiaries
Organization of professional training courses
Organization of craft exhibitions and sales events
This approach is effective because it simultaneously addresses educational, cultural, and social challenges.
Our team consists of experienced specialists in the fields of pottery, carpet weaving, sewing, and doll making. For the past 5 years, the NGO “Tshakhruk” has been implementing programs that promote youth inclusion and the preservation of cultural heritage. Our achievements include community exhibitions, cooperation with international partners, and continuous engagement of beneficiaries.
According to the cost estimate, approximately 8,472,000 AMD is required, allocated as follows:
Materials (clay, threads, fabrics, paints) – 4,620,000 AMD
Specialists’ fees – 3,852,000 AMD
This budget ensures the full implementation of the program for one year.
