SHORT SUMMARY

The “Portal Occupational Therapy Center” NGO has been supporting children with autism and their families since 2020 by creating a safe environment for development, learning, and inclusion.

A new facility allocated to the Portal Occupational Therapy Center by the Yerevan Municipality is currently in poor condition and lacks the necessary infrastructure required for therapeutic services. Due to the absence of renovation, many children are forced to remain on waiting lists and cannot receive the timely support they need.

PROBLEM

The renovated center will become a safe and supportive environment for a larger number of children with autism, where they will be able to develop their skills, social behavior, and independence. As a result of the project, more children and families will receive professional support, waiting lists will decrease, and children’s quality of life will improve.

Every contribution will help foster a more inclusive and human-centered society.

SOLUTION

Within the framework of this project, a full capital renovation of the center is planned to create a safe, comfortable, and child-friendly environment tailored to children’s needs.

The renovated space will enable the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy, educational, and developmental activities. This will allow the center to expand its services, accommodate more children, and ensure continuity in their development.

The renovation process is divided into three main phases.

TEAM

My name is Armine Gevorgyan, Founder and Director of Portal NGO. I established this center with hope and strong belief as the mother of a child with autism, deeply understanding the needs and challenges faced by these children and their families.

Today, our team is moving into a new facility entrusted to us by the Yerevan Municipality, which requires renovation — and we need your support to make this possible.
