I want to share a story that is both encouraging and challenging. I am Lucy Ararat Gevorgyan, I live literally on the slope of Khustup and I have always believed that life's greatest adventures begin with one dream, and I am the living proof of that today.

I recently received an opportunity that can change my life. Growing up in Kapan, I have always known that education is the key to building a better future. Despite the limitations of our small town, I worked hard, dreamed and set goals.

Although I never had the opportunity to know my father due to his early passing, I have heard countless stories about him that have helped me to know him to some degree and to be proud of him. As a businessman, his investments in the development of the city were significant. In 2004, he became the first Internet provider (Asternet) in the Syunik province, and also founded a paper processing plant, the operation of which, unfortunately, remained incomplete. Now, at the age of 16, I am standing on the threshold of a new adventure. This is a great opportunity to continue my father's legacy, to learn and grow so that I can fulfill my dream of making my father proud.

I was admitted to EMIS (Eastern Mediterranean International School), a prestigious institution that offers opportunities that I thought were impossible. EMIS's mission is to make education a force for peace and stability in the Middle East.

What does this mean: EMIS is an international high school for students from all over the world who live and study together. The student body includes students from the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East regions, as well as students from around the world. The curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. Social and educational experiences at EMIS teach diversity, cooperation and the value of peace, as well as instill respect for the environment and promote sustainability as a way of life.

But with this opportunity comes a significant financial burden. The cost of attending EMIS is much more than my family can afford and I am appealing to you for help.

The full tuition fee is $50,000. Even though the school discounted my tuition by 60% ($30,000), my family still has no way to cover the expenses because the only worker in the family is my mother, who does not have a permanent job.

Your support can make all the difference. I will be able to pursue my dreams without worrying about financial obstacles along the way, focus on my studies and make the most of this opportunity to create a better future for myself, my country and my community.

The pages of Armenia's centuries-old history book are flooded with many events, of which, unfortunately, disasters prevail. Our state needs such a generation, through whose efforts justice will be restored, Armenia will flourish and develop twice, four times with great strength and skill, which it had centuries ago.

My goal is to become a bright representative of that generation and create the path of prosperity of my homeland. And let me tell you, I have big plans. My goal is to become the girl in the league who will improve the world, armed with nothing but knowledge and determination. About me

I am an active young man, I have many hobbies and activities, which I work on and develop them constantly. You can find me in all sorts of places: singing on stage, teaching after class at the American Corner, monitoring in court, in Olympic halls, participating in project work, playing sports, volunteering at the Red Cross, World Vision...

Since I was 14 years old, I started doing English home lessons with children of 5th, 6th and higher grades. This is an opportunity to share my knowledge with the new generation.

I have a musical education, a year ago I graduated from the vocal department of music school No. 1 named after Aram Khachatryan. In 2023, I was given a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Kapan International Music Festival, which is the biggest achievement of my musical career so far.

In July, I will complete my educational experience with another program. I will be a member of the representative group of Armenia within the framework of the 20-day program "Building a Sustainable Future" held at the UWC Robert Bosch International College in Germany. The program will address issues related to environmental, economic and social sustainability and their intersections to enable participants to rethink sustainability from all perspectives.

After studying, my main goal is to build a career in international relations, promoting diplomatic ties and promoting cross-cultural exchange between nations, contributing to global peace and understanding, which will be a solid start for me in realizing my future plans.

Since tuition at EMIS is conducted through the International Baccalaureate program, it gives the student the opportunity to independently choose the primary subjects for him. By choosing the relevant specialized subjects, I will get in-depth knowledge, which will be the basis for continuing my higher education at the university, already sufficiently specialized.
