Our goal is to make traditional Armenian music accessible to a wider audience, especially in communities where cultural life is limited.
In numerous villages of Armenia, national music and the sound of traditional instruments are practically absent. Young people have very limited familiarity with Armenian folk songs and instruments, which leads to a weakening of the connection with national roots. The lack of cultural events and information limitations in rural communities result in live music and high-quality art becoming gradually concentrated only in cities.
SOLUTION
The “Zark” Ensemble will visit various villages of Armenia, presenting live concerts accompanied by national instruments. The events will be organized in the format of concert-meetings and will showcase national instruments, familiarizing audiences with their history and significance, so that young people and community members can develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Armenian musical heritage.
Main team members:
• Musicians – have musical education, many years of experience performing in various concert programs, and the ability to perform works across different genres.
• Singer – have higher education and the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
• Technical Support (sound, lighting, videography) – experienced specialists who ensure high technical quality of live concerts. Team members are responsible for organizing concerts, developing musical programs, and providing technical support to ensure each concert is performed at a high professional level.

Following the implementation of the project, cultural activity and interest in national music will increase in rural communities. Young people and children will have the opportunity to hear and see live the sounds of Armenian instruments, and to learn about their history and significance.
