The goal of the campaign is to raise funds to produce a film that will provide answers to a question many people ask themselves:

The absence of a Muse can be a reason for people to explore new professions or to study the "path" of the Muse more deeply.


PROBLEM

The film explores creative crises, the struggle to rediscover one's artistic identity and the psychological challenges faced by artists. Sometimes, even writing a single line can take hours, and creators often find themselves waiting for inspiration. However, some, like our protagonist, choose not to wait but to awaken their Muse on their own.

His story mirrors that of many young people in Armenia and around the world who pursue creative paths but often struggle with self-doubt, a loss of inspiration, or are forced into an artistic hiatus. The film reveals how an artist's consciousness and subconsciousness shape their work and highlights the importance ofunderstanding and overcoming one's inner struggles.

It delivers an inspiring message to those facing similar crises, showing that even in moments of deep despair, one must wait a little—because the Muse will come and find you.


SOLUTION

"The Follower" short film is not just a story about a creative crisis, an artist, and their emotions—it is also about self-discovery and finding inspiration again. It offers a solution: inspiration is often within us, and creative blocks are nothing more than walls we build ourselves.

We need financial support to bring this project to life, after which we will begin working with the actors.


IMPACT

  • During the initial phase of the campaign, we aim to raise awareness about the issue, for which we have already conducted a photo shoot and launched this campaign.
  • Currently, we have completed the casting process, selected filming locations, and are organizing the production plan.
  • After the campaign ends, we will begin filming to highlight the issue and, of course, present a solution.

The film's creative team consists of experienced and talented professionals who are ready to use their skills and expertise to bring this project to life.


Director: David Avanesyan

Studied at PanArmenian Media School and the Armenian State Pedagogical University. This is his debut directorial project, and he is full of fresh creative ideas and approaches.

Producer: Svetlana Harutyunyan

Has experience in managing various creative projects. Responsible for the organizational and financial aspects of the project.

Cinematographer: Lua Gulabyan

With a strong visual mindset and technical expertise, he will ensure the film’s artistic and cinematographic quality.

Actors: Robert Karapetyan, Eliza Hmayakyan

Students at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema major in Theatre Directing. They have both directorial and acting experience, allowing them to create deep and authentic characters in the film.
