I’m raising funds to complete my final year at New York University Shanghai, where I study Business and Finance (Accounting and Management track) with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. Your support will help me complete my education and put what I’ve learned into action, contributing to the development of Armenia, Armenian communities abroad, and beyond.

This fundraiser aims to cover the remaining tuition and related expenses, allowing me to complete my education and continue to represent Armenia on the world stage. As a student from Gyumri who has always valued education despite financial difficulties, I am committed to using the education and experience I have received to contribute to the improvement and development of financial literacy in Armenian communities, as well as in the diaspora and society in general. ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Grigor! Born and raised in Gyumri, Armenia, and currently a senior at NYU Shanghai. From launching community initiatives at home to researching international finance and mentoring students on campus, my journey has always been rooted in growth, service, and giving back.

I’ve continuously made the Dean’s List and received awards for academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. I serve as a Resident Assistant, and I have already supported over 100 students in navigating university life. I received the Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund (DURF) scholarship for two consecutive years, supporting my independent research on M&A premiums and Armenia’s trade policy, and I've interned across private equity, deal advisory, and fleet management

Throughout it all, I've remained committed to uplifting fellow Armenian students, providing them with assistance on applications, scholarships, and guidance throughout every stage of their university life.

This fundraiser isn’t just about completing my education; it’s about building a foundation to give back more: to Armenia, to future students, and to every community I’m part of.

IMPACT

This fundraiser will help me cover tuition and related academic costs for my final year, allowing me to graduate in May 2026. The degree I’ve worked so hard for will enable me to continue representing Armenia in international settings, whether in finance, research, mentorship, or public service.

I plan to utilize my education to bridge Armenia with international networks, support future students, and advocate for inclusive growth, particularly for those from underrepresented backgrounds. I’ve already made an effort to give back in every way I can, and I’ll continue this work after graduation.

PROBLEM

Like many Armenian students from economically challenged communities, I’ve faced challenges in financing my education abroad. Despite securing scholarships, working campus jobs, relying on support from family and friends, and personal savings, I am unable to fully fund my final year at NYU.

Without additional support, I risk being unable to finish my degree just one year before graduation, after years of hard work and proven commitment to academics, service, and leadership.

Your donation will help cover my 2025–2026 academic expenses. The funds raised will go directly toward covering tuition and essential living costs. Full transparency will be provided for every dollar raised (see the Budget section for details).

This campaign isn’t just about one student graduating; it’s about enabling a committed, community-driven young Armenian to continue his journey and multiply the impact through every project, mentorship, and initiative he undertakes.

I’ve outlined the full breakdown of costs, including tuition, housing, books, insurance, food, and necessary travel, as well as the scholarships already received, with the appropriate documentation from the university.
