DIGITAL PROGRAM FOR ARTSAKH WOMEN

Artsakh has been surrendered, but the will to live cannot be extinguished. Using technologies, it is possible to rebuild the lives of forcibly displaced women and girls from Artsakh, using the advantages of the digital world. Join our new mission to transform lives.

WHY WOMEN AND GIRLS?

The silent victims of wars and disasters are women who need special support to stand up and continue their lives. After the forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of the entire population of Artsakh, the ethnic Armenians of the region had to leave their homeland, which is an enormous material, psychological and human disaster. We are obliged to stand next to our brothers and sisters, while continuing to fight for justice.

In this difficult situation, the role of young women is especially difficult, many of whom have heavy losses in their families and often have to take care of the whole family themselves. This new initiative of FemInno is aimed at imparting a new technological specialization to the women and girls of Artsakh and supporting them in their new life.

COMPLETE SUPPORT PROGRAM

In order to become independent and continue life in the new Armenian environment, we offer a three-part support program that can become possible with your help.

Since the local technological labor market is very competitive, also taking into account the difficult socio-economic situation of the participants, the program will have 3 main components.

• primary direct financial support (which will free the participant from additional costs and focus on the goal);
• digital upskilling/reskilling (to increase competitiveness),
• job support and integration (to establish and stabilize in the labor market).

TECHNOLOGICAL TRAINING

The technological directions of the project were chosen taking into account the fastest and easiest possibilities and the needs of the modern labor market. In particular, the participants of the program will be able to master the following specializations:

• no-code programming,
• AI research,
• digital marketing,
• HRM/Technical Recruitment
• creating reels,
• creating podcasts,
• management of digital communities.

SELECTION AND PROCEDURE

The selection of participants will be made through an open call for application, the duration of the program will be 3 months in total, which will include integration, active training and employment stages.

BUDGET AND COSTS

The budget of the project was calculated, foreseeing the participation of 100 Artsakh residents. And the main costs are as follows:

• primary financial support for selected participants,
• minimum trainer fee,
• monthly fees for the digital platforms used,
• communication costs,
• costs of organizing a job fair,
• taxes.

The total costs for each participant are about 150,000 AMD or about 400 USD. If the main fundraising goal is exceeded, the number of participants will increase with this calculation in mind.

TEAM AND EXPERIENCE

The project is implemented by the FemInno team, which has experience not only in the field of technological education and integration of women and girls, but also in working with displaced Artsakh citizens. In 2021, more than 100 displaced women from Artsakh participated in a similar professional transformation program.

FemInno is the biggest female innovation platform in Armenia and throughout the region, which aims to support the advancement of women in business, science and technology.
