21 days agoThat’s how everyone found out we had won — and now, our next destination is Singapore, where we’ll compete in the World Robot Olympiad final stage.
We’re excited to present our innovative project so you see how we became winners.
Relevance and Innovation:
In today’s world, detecting gas leaks in pipelines is crucial for safety, environmental protection, and economic stability. Our goal is to develop technology that simplifies the monitoring process while reducing risks and human involvement.
Gas leaks often occur in homes, industrial sites, and public buildings. Traditional methods such as manual inspections, infrared cameras, or permanent sensor networks require significant time and resources.
Our project stands out for combining robotics and sensor systems to enable fast and efficient detection of hazardous situations.
To see a live demonstration of the robot and its key functions, watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LYV4kNaUPA
The robot moves using 3 motors that control direction and stability.
Gas sensors are installed in both central and lateral sections for maximum coverage.
The body is designed to move easily along pipelines.
When a gas leak is detected, the robot:
This allows for rapid response and precise localization of accidents.
Gas leaks in residential, industrial, and municipal pipelines pose a serious threat to human life and safety.
In densely populated areas, delayed detection can lead to:
Our autonomous mobile robot system is designed to identify gas leaks — even in hard-to-reach areas — ensuring reliable pipeline monitoring and faster response to emergencies.

Special thanks to Contests Lab for enabling Armenia’s participation in the competition and organizing the national stage of the Olympiad.
We’ve been showcasing our robot at DigiTec 2025! 🤖✨
It was an incredible experience raising awareness about our project, sharing the story behind our robot, and diving into its technical details with visitors. 💬💡
We received valuable feedback, advice and ideas for future improvements — all thanks to the amazing people we met at the expo! 🙌
