A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR

Dear reader,

Almost two years have passed since we created a virtual group of graduates and teachers and after about half a century we “met” again, this time under the warm roof of a virtual, imaginary school. During this time, overcoming time, we returned to our school years and, as it were, created a soul-friendly bridge between the past and the present.

As a result of those remote and distant meetings, stories, essays, translations, poems about school life and everyday life were born, which were collected in my first book, “District #139”, which became a reality with the support and efforts from all of you.

After much thought, I decided to introduce to the public the creative works of the residents (teachers, graduates, parents) of District #139 (Yerevan School #139 with an English specialization). I am sure that not all of the talented people scattered around the world were found.

The book “District #139 Has been Creating” contains the best works of teachers and graduates of School #139 involved in various fields of art (poetry, prose, music, theater, cinema, painting, photography, sculpture, handicrafts, etc.).

The book is a collection of literary works and the best works of art, contains photos, links to musical compositions, etc. And with the help of technical solutions, YouTube pages and websites are also available. Brief biographies of the creators are also presented. Project budget is attached here.

Now, with the support and efforts from all of you, I am trying to make the second book of my dreams come true, “District #139 Has been Creating.”

This first book-collection has touched on the creators of District #139. Who knows, maybe in the near future we will also touch on other unique residents of our district: leading specialists, teachers, and famous individuals.
