Most border villages in Armenia do not have pharmacies or any healthcare facilities. They have to drive several hours in most cases to purchase a simple headache or fever medication. Elderly in Armenia can not afford their chronic medications. Important education on healthcare topics is inaccessible in these border communities and simple blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring as well.

You can help fix this! By funding Deghatar you can bring a pharmacy to border villages, free of charge medications for elderly, health education and preventative monitoring.

*Note that per laws and regulations, medications can not be provided to patients completely free of charge, so Deghatar will be providing a list of certain medications for the elderly at a 90% discounted price.

The first Deghatar pharmacy opened in the border village of Verin Karmir Aghbyur on Saturday June 17th, 2023. Under the license of this pharmacy the Deghatar truck will be working.
