The project presents the studios of contemporary Armenian artists – the environment where works of art are created. This is important because very often the process of art creation – this unknown environment of art – goes unnoticed.

The project will contribute to the recognition of contemporary Armenian art, the popularization of artists' activities, and the development of art education. Artists will have the opportunity to present their creative environment, while students and young artists will familiarize themselves with this process, enriching their knowledge and creative approaches.

The project will also encourage the development of new ideas and approaches in the fields of art and education.

The project is already in its active phase, and numerous meetings with artists have been held so far. The materials, photographs, and information gathered during these meetings are already being used for the development of the project.

In the next phase of the project, I plan to present the first results – exhibitions and a photo book that will showcase the creative environment of the artists.

Problem

Contemporary Armenian art often goes unnoticed because the creative process of artists and their working environment do not receive sufficient attention.

Today, when art should become more accessible, it is important to present the environment in which works of art are born. Revealing the working spaces of artists will allow a complete understanding of the art creation process and its value.

Solution

The project aims to reveal the process of creating contemporary Armenian art by presenting the working environment of the artists.

Implementation Phases:

1. Selection of artists and meetings – Introduction to the artists, their creative approaches, and working spaces.
2. Photography and documentation – Taking photos in the studios to showcase the creative process and environment.
3. Creation of a photo book – Creating a photo book with images of the artists' working environments and creative processes.
4. Printing and distribution – Printing the photo book and presenting it to art communities and the public.

Effectiveness

This solution will contribute to a wider recognition of contemporary Armenian art by presenting the complexities and beauty of the art creation process, which encompasses not only the art environment and artworks but also the artists behind them.

Team

I am Mayranush (Mano) Hovhannisyan, a photographer. I have been working in the field of photography for over 4 years. So far, I have carried out several small and short-term projects that have helped me gain significant experience. However, this project, which I started months ago, is my largest and most valuable work, as it is long-term and requires my full dedication. In this project, I am the person responsible, the author, and the photographer. My responsibility is not only to create the photographs but also to manage the entire project process, from preparatory work to achieving the final result. This project represents a new level of progress for me and a great opportunity to achieve the maximum result by showcasing my creative approach and professional experience.
