SHORT SUMMARY

The idea for this story came to me after being influenced by the events of the "April Four-Day" war in 2016. I felt a great responsibility towards all the boys who died on the border to protect my and many others peace and the right to live peacefully in our country. I could not tolerate the fact that this would be another of our victims on the border and that everyone, going about their usual lives, would forget about the boys and move on. That is why I suggested to my friend, artist Andranik Asatryan, with whom I studied together at the Yerevan Theater Institute, to create this story as a preface as a base of our further collaboration. After receiving his consent, we began the creative work. With another friend who had joined us, who had been appointed as a producer for our team. After the project was completed, we began to visit the parents of the boys who died in <<Base 116>> to get their consent, since their faces would also be used in this project, and we also wanted to understand whether they would like our work. Having received their approval and consent, we initiated the continuation of the work on the creation and, after making the final corrections, we began the process of finding sponsors, which brought us to reArmenia, after knocking many doors

Thus, << Base 116>> was designed to show and highlight the memory and the exploits of our heroic boys so that the new generation can remember them as well as our soldiers and ordinary citizens would understand that no exploit is forgotten. Here we represent "Base 116" the history of chronology and how it happened in 2016 the four-day war in that stronghold. The soldiers of the <<Base 116 >> were R. Abadjian, Armenak Urfanyan, Qyaram Sloyan, Tigran Papanyan and other brave soldiers who fought for their homeland,and died heroicly. We think that in these difficult days, it's important to remind our younger generation and our society the unbreakable and patriotic spirit of soldiers and about the struggle for our spirit to remain strong, and we are always must rely on our ability to defend our country, taking account the foreign aid of course.

The success of the project became clear to us when we had just created the comic book and some of our friends, strangers from social media, found out that it was about our soldiers immediately expressed a desire to give us money, and we even managed to meet the parents of the soldiers of R. Abajyan and A. Urfanyan by that time . They were also pleased and expressed their readiness to help and encouraged us to continue this work.

IMPACT

The beneficiaries are the members of our society: teachers, parents, soldiers, everyone. By buying this book and showing it to their children or reading it, they will be able to understand how difficult it is to defend our freedom and how important our army is to our existence. This will be proof of the fact that we have never forgotten our heroes and their struggles for our country. And this will help to have even greater respect for soldiers and the military.

PROBLEM

These days, we are faced with a situation where our people think that at any moment there can be tensions on our borders. We must show our victories and how we have fought against the enemy in order to preserve the patriotic spirit of our nation. Therefore, it is necessary to protect the future generation from degradation and not lose that strong patriotic spirit. With the example of these heroes, our children or compatriots will see how with a small amount of force we are able to wage powerful struggles when we do it together.

SOLUTION

This magazine is one of those examples that helps remember our heroes and, through their example, teaches our youth to be strong in the face of adversity. Now more than ever, we need to teach our younger generation that we must take care of our land and protect it wherever we are.

The first stage of implementation is to raise the necessary funds for printing. If we can get 1,235,400 AMD in funding, this will be enough for us to start the printing process, since we have everything else or have already reached an agreement. The second stage is the organization of the presentation in <<Theatre on the Roof>>, for which the SMM campaign will work on the part of the theater.

TEAM

Our team consists of two people: Arsen Chachoyan_author and story writer, Andranik Asatryan_painter (Shedu Comics). I am Arsen Chachoyan and I am engaged in acting and artistic work, as well as practicing Wing Chun Kung Fu martial arts and I am already teaching as a junior instructor at <<Total Defense Academy>>. I have acted in various films, TV series and played in theaters. Andranik Asatryan is a painter, comic book artist and has worked on various projects, the most famous of which is the <<Dragon>> comic, and his some amazing and interesting works are still waiting to be published. We have printed the first copy of this book with the help of our friends, with whom we plan to continue the work and start printing this magazine if enough money is raised for this book.
