The Asli25 Mars Analog Mission is a multinational project launching simultaneously in more than 10 countries (17 stations), including Armenia.
As the continuation of AMADEE-24’s success, it brings together international analog astronauts and scientists to simulate Mars conditions and test new technologies. This mission is vital as it secures Armenia’s place on the global scientific map.
Launching in October 2025, the mission will last two weeks and have a direct impact on Armenian scientists, students, and young professionals by fostering international collaboration and hands-on experience.
AMADEE-24 already proved Armenia’s capabilities: it received over 1,000 media mentions across 30+ countries and was highlighted in UNOOSA,UN reports. This was a milestone in strengthening Armenia’s global scientific reputation.
Asli25 will build on this foundation, creating long-term benefits in science, education, and innovation while consolidating Armenia’s role in analog space research.
After AMADEE-24, Armenia risks losing momentum without continuity. Local scientists lack sufficient platforms for international-level research, and young professionals often leave abroad due to limited opportunities. Without Asli25, the Armash Mars Research Station risks being underutilized.
This approach positions Armenia as a regional hub for space science and strengthens its role in the global space community
This model strengthens Armenia as a regional hub for analog research and embeds it in the global space community.
