"Friends of Botanical Garden" charitable NGO was founded in 2022 by a number of employees of the A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The main goal of the NGO is to support the development of botanical gardens in Yerevan, Sevan, and Vanadzor. The organization implements various projects and events through membership fees, donations, and grants.

The A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany NAS RA (founded in 1938) and its structural divisions, Yerevan, Sevan, and Vanadzor Botanical Gardens, is a unique and original scientific institution in the field of biodiversity research and conservation. Yerevan Botanical Garden occupies an area of about 80 hectares, it is not only the enormous green zone of Yerevan but also a scientific and educational facility, where we present plants introduced from different corners of the world.
