My name is Ani Baghdasaryan. I have more than 10 years experience of teaching piano.
Using that experience I have created a workbook that will undoubtedly make the student’s learning process more interesting and enjoyable. Moreover, I adopted the most innovative approaches that exist in the world. The problem is relevant and collaboration aimed at the implementation of the project is needed.
Here are the reasons why this workbook is important:
● The lessons are taught by communication with the student. Colorful modern illustrations make it easy to impress and attract their attention.
● The workbook is applicable for teaching the piano classes at a music school, as well as for independent mastering of this musical instrument.
● Teaching material becomes progressively more complex, however, thanks to the specific narration and depending on the student’s individual abilities it is possible to teach several topics simultaneously and the student can learn musical compositions presented in the last thematic section.
● The workbook has a variety of exercise games, which make the learning process more interesting and motivate the students to study other sections.
● The list consists entirely of musical compositions that are either rarely performed or have never been performed in Armenia.
In order to introduce music of different ethnic groups to children starting from an early age, I give preference to Armenian and other nation’s folk and children's songs, as well as classical compositions of different cultures.
After completing the workbook, a novice musician will gain basic knowledge, will be able to interpret music and play simple pieces on the piano. They will also recognize different genres, styles and music of different ethnic groups.
The Fortress Foundation has fully financed the first edition of the "Let's Play the Piano" book, as a result 300 copies of the book will be published.
The first 150 copies will be distributed among music school teachers so that they could share their opinion and make suggestions. The remaining 150 copies will be sold, and the money received will be used to re-publish additional copies.
The collaboration has ended successfully. Congratulations to all of us!
