Last two consecutive years Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation has granted monthly scholarships to talented students of higher classes demonstrating the best academic achievements of Vanadzor School #28 after Vahe Melikstyan. The monthly scholarship amount is 20000 AMD and the scholarship recepients spend it on educational projects, private classes, as well as any other initiatives directly linked to acquiring new knowledge and skills. The Foundation's goal is to create a new culture and show, that students who do well at school and boast academic achievements can be encouraged. Our experience shows that the students։

• Become more motivated, when their work and academic progress is acknowledged,
• Become more self-confident, are proud of their achievements and believe more in themselves,
• Show a vivid example to their peers by showing that they can also receive scholarships, if they study more and better.

Our ultimate goal is to use this method of encouraging students in other schools of Armenia (in particular schools in the borderline villages).
