15 days agoOur project is dedicated to the creation of the short fiction film "The Women Have Disappeared", produced by a team of young Armenian filmmakers. Our goal is to create a truly unique cinematic work and pave the way for a new generation of filmmakers in the industry.
The film is about a young boy named Narek who, after being betrayed by his fiancée, resorts to a method to blind himself—but instead, he begins to see in black and white, and women vanish from his sight.
One of the key challenges for Armenia and the global Armenian community is the lack of opportunities for young filmmakers to break into the cinema industry. Talented beginners often lack the resources, connections, or platforms to create and showcase their work. Our project, created by young filmmakers themselves, aims to open doors for them into the film industry by providing creative opportunities.
Our goal is to advance Armenian cinema, produce a high-quality film, and present it to an international audience.
Our project, the film "Women Have Disappeared", addresses the issue of young Armenian filmmakers struggling to enter the cinema market. We believe that through creative potential, collaboration, and public support, we can create new opportunities for Armenian cinema. The film is being produced by young professionals who have united to enrich Armenian cinema with their talent.
To overcome financial barriers, we are turning to community support—raising the necessary funds through crowdfunding platforms. Every donor becomes a participant in our project.
This comprehensive approach will not only produce a high-quality film but also pave new paths for young Armenian filmmakers, ensuring their creative growth and professional development.
After arriving in Armenia, Narek decides to commit suicide upon learning of his future fiancée's betrayal. However, at that moment, he encounters Fate and, instead of killing himself, chooses to go blind. Narek resorts to a method to blind himself, but instead of losing his sight, he begins to see in black and white, while simultaneously, women disappear from his vision. After the women vanish, Narek faces a dishonorable misfortune and becomes the target of widespread criticism from society. Overwhelmed by the backlash and finding himself in a dire situation, he realizes that the only one responsible for his suffering is Fate itself. Determined to confront it, he meets with Fate and, during their encounter, devises a cunning plan—erasing all the misfortunes that had befallen him.
