Why is it necessary to supplement regional libraries with new books?

This is the slogan of BVIK Educational Foundation. Reading is not just a source of enjoyment but also a powerful tool for personal development, improvement, positive behavior, and the formation of healthy habits.

During these reading competitions, it became evident that many newly published books are missing from regional libraries in Armenia. The lack of books often limits the right of regional residents to participate in reading competitions, read books in general, and follow contemporary literary news.

Based on this, BVIK Educational Foundation has undertaken the process of supplementing regional libraries with new books.

By enriching regional libraries, we can foster a more educated, progressive, and literate society. This program is a significant gift for the reading communities living in Armenia’s regions.

BVIK Educational Foundation believes in the transformative power and decisive impact of education, which shapes an educated and conscious society. The foundation’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that even small contributions can create significant positive changes in the lives of individuals and communities.

Together, we can create a brighter future for the generations to come.

IMPACT

The availability of books in regional libraries will eliminate the limitations and obstacles that our compatriots living in the regions of Armenia face on their way to reading books, learning new things, studying, and participating in reading competitions.

About BVIK Educational Foundation

BVIK was established in 2024 to implement initiatives that promote a love for reading. The idea of creating BVIK was born from the desire to build a self-educating, broad-minded society. This initiative aims to create the most joyful educational platform, bringing together all reading enthusiasts in Armenia, and in the future, from the Diaspora as well.

BVIK Educational Foundation organizes reading competitions for various age groups.

In 2024, two competitions were held:

           • “Give Light” – designed for teachers.

           • “Flight with the Wings of a Book” – designed for 14-18-year-old teenagers.

Both competitions featured participants from various regions of Armenia.

In 2025, BVIK Educational Foundation will organize four new reading competitions for individuals aged 7 to 100:

           1. “Marduk-Karduk” – for 3rd and 4th-grade students.

           2. “Flight with the Wings of a Book 2” – for 14-18-year-olds.

           3. “Grkarbuk” – for 19-62-year-olds.

           4. “White, Yellow Pages” – for 63-100-year-olds.

Co-Founder & Director – Anahit Yuzbashyan

• Specialist in the English language.
• Has worked for many years in various international educational and development programs.
• Led the human resources department of PwC’s Armenian office for 12 years.
• Co-founder of Healthy Box, the first healthy food delivery company, since 2013.
• Co-founder of “Garun” café since 2018.
• Co-founder of "MAM" children’s developmental games.
• Member of the Board of Trustees of the "4090 Charity" Educational Foundation since 2023.
• Valuing the power of books in life, she decided to make it one of society's highest values.

Co-Founder – Arevik Gharibyan

• Economist by profession.
• Executive Director of "SOL" LLC, the official representative of the DESIGUAL Spanish brand in Armenia.
• Currently studying in the master's program of the Faculty of Social and Political Psychology at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
• Valuing the role and significance of a reading society in modern life, she united around the philosophy of "Bvik."

Co-Founder – Julieta Vardanyan

• Economist, human resources management specialist, and trainer.
• Has worked for more than thirteen years in leading companies in Armenia.
• Valuing the role of Armenian-language professional literature in societal development, she has authored three books: "Human Resources Management as Customer Service," "Am I Becoming a Businessman?" and "Human Resources Management: History, Sociology, Economics, Psychology."
• Currently studying Business Management at the University of York, UK.
• Inspired by the magical power of books, she has firmly decided to make the love for reading contagious by founding the "Bvik" Educational Foundation.
