Who We Are

We are a collective of media and journalism organizations based in Yerevan and Armenia’s regions, united under the InFact platform. This initiative, launched by Hetq in 2021, brings together partners committed to delivering fact-checked, substantiated, and objective information.

Our InFact Facebook group is where both platform members and the public can engage in fact-checking discussions. You can learn more by visiting the group or watching our video, which highlights our work from 2021-2023.

What Will Change with Planet in the Hands of Independent Journalists?

Planet’s imagery will enable us to conduct more precise investigations into these sensitive regions. Our findings can contribute to international reports and promote Armenia’s interests on global platforms. There’s also the potential for foreign media to use our research, broadening our reach.

More frequent and detailed reports on environmental risks in Armenia will help urge responsible action from the authorities. Our track record includes uncovering illegal constructions, which often lead to criminal investigations, thanks to our comprehensive reporting.

In our past reporting, we’ve highlighted the occupation of Artsakh, debunked false Azerbaijani narratives, and investigated illegal activities across Armenia using free satellite tools like Google Maps and Sentinel Hub. However, these tools are often outdated or lack the necessary resolution.

With Planet, we will have access to high-quality, up-to-date satellite imagery, enabling us to produce even more accurate, impactful journalism.
