We are a couple, Daniel and Elena.

After many years of traveling and living in different corners of the world, we have chosen Armenia as the place where we want to live, raise our children, and realize our dreams and ideology, making this world a little better.

Our project is a journey to restore an abandoned rural house, revive the home winery, and create a social space where meetings, lectures, and workshops will be held for local residents and tourists.

Project Goals:

✅ Preservation of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Armenian village

✅ Preservation of the traditions of home winemaking

✅ Increasing the attractiveness of the Armenian village for living and investment

✅ Improving the ecology of the village and sustainable development

Preservation of the architectural and cultural heritage of the Armenian village

Ancient houses in Armenian villages are witnesses of history. They possess unique architecture and cultural value. Despite their layout convenient for modern living and high-quality construction, these houses often remain unnoticed and underestimated. They are not considered attractive for purchase and reconstruction. Gradually, they are falling into disrepair, and soon this layer of Armenia's cultural heritage will disappear without a trace.

But there is still time to draw society's attention to such houses and demonstrate their hidden potential.

And we need your help with this!

Preservation of the traditions of home winemaking

Once, in the basement of this house, there was a winery. Until the 1990s, traditional homemade wine was produced there. In ancient karases, which are over 100 years old. They were brought on donkeys from the Armenian city of Erzurum at the dawn of the last century.

We found a person who once made wine in these amazing karases. And he shared with us all the nuances and secrets of its production.

We want to fully restore this winery and produce traditional Armenian wine in it, demonstrating all the subtleties of the process to our guests.

Increasing the attractiveness of the Armenian village for living and investment

We aim to showcase by our example the attractiveness of Armenian villages for living, investment, and business activities.

All stages of restoring the house and winery, as well as various aspects of our family life in the village, will be documented and shared on social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, VKontakte. Additionally, we will maintain thematic channels on YouTube and Telegram, providing a wide coverage of our target audience.

Moreover, we will show the investment potential of rural areas in Armenia: eco-business, agrotourism, agricultural enterprises, renewable energy production, and more.

Improving the ecology of the village and sustainable development

We adhere to the ideology of sustainable development in all aspects of our lives. In the reconstruction of the house, we implement environmentally friendly construction methods. The house will be equipped with energy-efficient windows, a solar power station, a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation, and a compost collection and processing system.

We will organize space in the house for meetings and workshops on ecology, proper waste disposal, recycling, and more, for both guests and the local community, as well as village cleanup events.

On April 20th, we already organized the first garbage cleanup event, together with eco-activists of the non-profit organization Green-Green, along the banks of the Shahvard River, with more than 60 participants.

On our plot of land, we will establish a plant nursery, which, among other things, will be used for greening our village in the future.

Expected Outcomes:

Preservation of the cultural and architectural heritage of Armenian villages:

- Preservation and strengthening of the cultural and architectural identity of Armenian villages, enhancing the self-awareness and pride of local residents.

- Restoration and preservation of historical residential buildings and their adaptation to modern life, creating examples of cultural and architectural heritage conservation.

Increase in the attractiveness of Armenian villages for living and investment:

- Increase in demand for real estate and services of local establishments, stimulating the development of infrastructure and local businesses, and raising the standard of living of local residents.

- Growth in the number of new residents purchasing or renting houses in the village, as well as tourists, boosting economic activity, improving the quality of life, and accessibility of services.

Enhancement of the liquidity of ancient houses in the village:

- Increase in property values and overall prosperity of residents, attracting investments and fostering tourism.

- Rise in the number of houses over 50 years old undergoing restoration, an increase in the number of owners and tenants, and a growth in tourist influx and rural population income.

Improvement of the ecological situation in Armenian villages:

- Enhancement of the quality of life, reduction in pollution levels, and increased awareness and responsibility for the environment. The village will become neater and more attractive for local residents and tourists.

- Increase in environmental awareness among the population, restoration of ecosystems, reduction in waste and pollution.

Help us achieve these results as soon as possible! Become a part of this story!

We apriciate every donation, regardless of its size, and plan to thank everyone who decides to contribute to our project.
