a month agoIn response to the recent influx of displaced people from Artsakh, we are starting a campaign to provide free-of-charge recurring activities for displaced boys and girls in various cities across Armenia (Tashir, Artashat, Armavir, and many more).
Recognizing the heavy emotional burdens that children often carry due to trauma, our mission is to create safe and nurturing spaces where they can temporarily escape the weight of their past experiences and struggles. Through engaging activities, we aim to offer these children a reprieve, allowing them to play, prioritize their health, and acquire essential coping mechanisms and life skills to address the challenges they face.
The displacement of families from Artsakh has left many children grappling with the psychological and emotional toll of their experiences. Lack of access to recreational activities and sports facilities further exacerbates their challenges. Our campaign addresses this issue by providing opportunities for these children to engage in constructive and therapeutic activities.
To address the lack of recreational resources, we have partnered with sports schools and facilities across Armenia. These institutions are prepared to offer after-school programming for children from Artsakh free of charge. However, many of these children lack the necessary sports gear to participate fully. Through generous donations and support, we plan to provide basketballs, footballs, and other sports essentials to enable these activities and create a positive impact on the lives of these children.
Research indicates that engagement in team sports can significantly mitigate the adverse effects of forced displacement on children. The benefits span psychological, physical, emotional, social, educational, and long-term aspects.
By participating in these activities, children can experience improved concentration and physical fitness, social integration, enhanced conflict resolution skills, reduced anxiety and depression, and increased motivation to attend school.
Over 500 children, both boys and girls will benefit directly from this project.
Please refer to the project budget for a detailed breakdown of our financial requirements. Your support will directly contribute to providing sports gear, organizing activities, and ensuring the success of this initiative.
With winter being so harsh in Armenia we will take this time to prepare all the necessary gear and items ahead of the Spring season. Activities will begin as early as March and run through the end of the year.
Our dedicated team comprises professionals from various fields, including education, non-profit, sports, and business. Together, we are committed to creating and implementing programs that cater to the unique needs of displaced children and contribute to their overall development.

He places great importance on setting a positive example, fostering honesty, and instilling a sense of dedication in both players and fellow coaches.
When Simon isn't on the field, you can find him embracing the joys of summer. He loves spending time with his adorable dog Betty, cheering for various team sports, and indulging in delicious sweets.
