After months of dedication and hard work, a new door has opened, bringing our dreams within reach. We are students from the Dilijan Community, competing in the Diamond Challenge, an international youth entrepreneurship competition organized by the University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship in partnership with the Dilijan Community Center. As part of this journey, we developed a groundbreaking business idea -Smargetic. 

What is Smargetic?

Smargetic is an innovative hybrid energy software designed to optimize sustainable energy use in households. By integrating Java and AI technology, Smargetic intelligently switches between solar panels, wind turbines, and energy storage systems based on weather conditions and energy consumption needs. This ensures maximum efficiency, cost savings, and a greener future for consumers.

Our Journey to the USA

We have spent months refining and presenting our business idea as part of the Diamond Challenge, and on March 15th, we competed in the National Semi-Final round—and won! This victory has earned us the opportunity to represent all of Armenia in the international finals in the USA this May, in Wilmington, Delaware. 

Attending the Limitless World Summit will give the our team, Armenia’s team, the chance to:

• Present their idea to global investors and industry experts
• Compete on an international stage and gain recognition for Armenia
• Access mentorship, networking, and funding opportunities to make Smargetic a reality

However, while this is an incredible achievement, we now face a major challenge: funding our trip. Although we have won a financial prize in the amount of $250 provided by the Dilijan Community Center, we hope that the costs associated with our participation does not become a barrier to our dreams. As high school students, we lack the financial means to cover travel, and participation costs. Yet, we know how much this opportunity means—not just for us, but for the future of Armenian innovation.

About the Team

Smargetic is Edmon Tamrazyan, Nare Stepanyan, Mane Tamamyan, Mane Mantashyan, and our mentor, Spencer Chrein.

Each member has applied their strengths in our business ideas to foster our success. Driven by the spirit of critical thinking at the core, each of the four members of this group has sharpened their wits in such elite programs as։

• Samsung Innovation Campus,
• Debathon Youth Debate Program,
• TUMO Center for Creative Technologies,
• European Youth Parliament - Armenia,
• Armath Laboratory,
• Women in STEM Forum, and
• the Media Program at the "Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan" NGO.

All these opportunities have helped us develop various types of competencies, including the following: critical-logical thinking, problem-solving, creative and imaginative approaches, effective communication, and advanced problem analysis. Besides, we actively join and build relationships within the Dilijan Community Center and its network for further developing our potential to make a change.

With rich technical expertise in Java and supported by modern tools, we empower ourselves to create and implement innovative solutions. Most importantly, we love dynamic environments that challenge us through resiliency and determination. We draw from collective experience, commitment, and hence are confident of transforming ideas into implementations with impactful outcomes.
