Impact Description:

"Armenia For All" is creating a profound and lasting impact by transforming Armenia's urban landscapes into truly accessible environments. To date, this includes the creation of a map featuring 150 accessible places and the production of episodes dedicated to raising awareness.

The campaign empowers individuals with disabilities to participate fully in society, ensuring they can move freely, access employment opportunities, and engage in social and cultural life without barriers. Key initiatives like the interactive accessibility map and mobile app will provide practical tools for navigating the city, while partnerships with businesses and educational activities will foster a more inclusive and aware community.

Ultimately, "Armenia For All" will cultivate a society where accessibility is not a privilege but a fundamental right, significantly enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities and setting a new standard for inclusivity in Armenia.

The Problem:

Many cities, including those in Armenia, lack full accessibility, creating barriers for the 190,000 individuals with disabilities. This limits their access to movement, education, employment, and social/cultural activities, hindering individual potential and societal contributions.  

Urgency and Reasons for Immediate Resolution:

This is urgent because it denies basic rights and opportunities.

• Fundamental Rights: Accessibility is a human right, essential for full participation.
• Social Inclusion: Accessible environments foster inclusive, respectful communities.
• Economic Benefits: Inclusion in education and employment benefits both individuals and society.
• Time Sensitivity: Delaying action prolongs exclusion; immediate action is crucial for a more equitable society.

The "Armenia For All" campaign addresses the problem of inaccessibility through a multi-faceted approach that combines practical tools, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. The core strategy revolves around creating a more inclusive environment where people with disabilities can move, work, and enjoy life without barriers.

The campaign's implementation involves several key stages and methods, utilizing a range of resources:

• Development of Practical Tools:
• Interactive Accessibility Map: A user-friendly platform is being developed to help individuals easily find accessible locations within the city. This will require resources for software development, data collection, and ongoing maintenance.  
• Mobile App: A convenient mobile application is being created to assist in planning accessible routes and provide real-time information on inclusive spaces. This also necessitates software development expertise and resources.  
• Community Engagement and Awareness:
• Educational Activities: The campaign includes workshops, campaigns, and community events aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of accessibility. This involves resources for event planning, marketing, and outreach.  
• Strategic Partnerships:
• Partnership Program: The campaign seeks to collaborate with businesses to improve accessibility standards and promote social responsibility. This requires resources for partnership development and management.
• Systemic Change: By working with businesses to improve accessibility standards, the campaign aims to create systemic change that benefits people with disabilities in the long term.  
• Increased Awareness: Educational activities will raise public awareness and challenge societal attitudes towards disability, fostering a more inclusive and accepting community.

We are a dedicated team committed to realizing a vision where accessibility is a fundamental right for everyone. Leading our efforts is Andranik Esayan, Chairman of QAYL DEPI HASANELUTYUN NGO, a person who deeply understands the challenges of living with limitations and whose personal journey inspires our work to help others.

Supporting these efforts is Ruben Samaryan, Executive Secretary at QAYL DEPI HASANELUTYUN, who develops strategies to make Armenia more accessible by producing "Breaking Barriers" episodes, mapping and auditing places, and advocating for people with special needs. He also collaborates with partners and local businesses to educate and reach out to individuals with disabilities.
