About Me, Who Am I?

My name is Zorik-Artur. I was born abroad but lived and grew up in Armenia. I’ve been passionate about information technology since my school years at the Special Physic-Mathematical School (Physmath). 

While still in my teens, I was working as a technician-programmer at the Yerevan Computer Research and Development Institute (known as Mergelyan Institute), an experience that further fueled my growing interest in the field. That early exposure played a pivotal role in shaping my academic journey—I was later admitted to the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics at Yerevan State University, and simultaneously admitted to the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) with a full scholarship. However, I did not pursue my studies, as I was committed to completing my mandatory military service.

I have valued and continue to value academic education and scientific achievement in this time of rapid change. However, the defense of the Motherland is no less important, and this is what I have tried to balance.

I am my family's only child, and I have merely fulfilled my duty to my homeland.

I Have Returned

I was in haste—needed to complete my interrupted education. I began working at Picsart along with my studies at YSU, which greatly boosted the development of my professional career, for which I am grateful.

I graduated from Yerevan State University's Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics and received my Bachelor's degree.

My Motivation and Goals

I now have the opportunity to continue my academic education in the United States.

At present, I am giving preference to the two-year Master's program in Computer Science at the University of Louisville.

My master's studies will provide me with the essential practical skills and in-depth knowledge needed to bring ideas to life effectively.

These capabilities will help me identify existing technological gaps, improve and optimize the application of information technologies across various fields, and discover new investment opportunities that will contribute to the economic development of our Country.

Through my qualifications and negotiations, I have managed to secure a 50% reduction in the initial tuition fee. Now, in order to obtain a U.S. student visa, I must provide proof of $31,199 in funding by July. In addition, I have applied for other scholarships, the results of which are not yet available. However, as soon as I receive them, I will immediately upload the updates to the platform.
