Meet Narek, a bright and joyful 9-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with Wilson’s disease, a rare condition that has led to acute liver failure. His only chance for survival is an urgent liver transplant, which, due to the severity of his condition, must be performed at the Federal State Budgetary Institution NMITs TIO named after Academician V.I. Shumakov in Moscow.

Although such surgeries are successfully performed in Armenia at the Arabkir Medical Center, the critical urgency of Narek’s case requires that it be carried out in Moscow.

The cost of the surgery is 14,562,000 AMD – a sum far beyond what his family can manage alone.

Despite his illness, Narek remains a lively and caring child. He loves playing with his friends and helping his father take care of their garden. During his hospital stay, he has missed his little sister Maria terribly and is looking forward to returning home to her.
