13 days agoFrom the day we are born, we have a need to sing.
Thanks to you, we organized a breakfast with folklorist Alina Pahlevanyan and left inspired to dance, read, and sing. Here are some thoughts that impressed us:
- For 800 years, Armenians have heard songs from Turks, Assyrians, Kurds, and Greeks, influencing our national music.
- Komitas never altered people’s songs; he did not imprint his style on any song.
- The cheapest instrument is the throat. People met their artistic needs without formal songs or operas by using their voices.
- In Horovel, we had ritual curses aimed at the soil to ensure its fertility and no one was offended by it.
- Our khaz writing (notation) needs deciphering—maybe AI can help?
- The most lyrical regions are Aparan, Etchmiadzin, Ashtarak, and the surroundings of Sevan.
Stay with us so we can organize more enriching gatherings!
We had an incredibly productive wine evening with Samvel Martirosyan, focusing on the use of "AI" tools in marketing, along with their risks and advantages.
The discussion was rich in information about new tools, innovative materials, and validated results.
One of the participants, Suren, wrapped up the evening with a heartfelt toast, expressing his gratitude that, in this digital age, gatherings like ours allow us to come together weekly, chat at a round table, and escape from the pressures of daily life.
To conclude the evening, Aram, one of the participants, received a gift book from Samvel Martirosyan's personal library.
All in all, it was a successful and enlightening evening.
⏰ What's the difference between a loan and an investment? When you invest, you're taking today's money into the future, while with a loan, you're bringing future money into the present. ⏰
We explored this and other financial concepts during a breakfast chat with Samson Avetyan.
The highlight? 50% of the funds raised during the breakfast were doubled to help establish an "Armat" lab in Artimet village.
Following the session, Samson Avetyan provided all attendees with a variety of tools for financial management, a presentation specially crafted for the "10:30 Club," and other useful educational materials.
Thank you for making this possible.
A village united can move mountains, or so the saying goes.
Together, we are shattering the myth that you can't have fun, learn, network, and do charity simultaneously.
With your support, we organized an enriching breakfast event with Arkmenik Nikoghosyan, a senior researcher at the Manuk Abeghyan Institute of Literature of RA NAS.
📌 Our topic was "Linguistic Thinking: Why and How to Think in Armenian."
📌 We also invited children from Artsakh and the surrounding regions.
📌 After breakfast, Arkmenik invited everyone to "Daran" bookstore for a deeper conversation and present-books by modern Armenian authors.
Thank you for being part of this transformative journey.
We had the pleasure of organizing 1 delightful breakfast meeting and 2 wonderful wine evenings featuring distinguished guests: scientist Hrant Khachatryan, engineering systems innovator Khachik Nazaryan, and talented actor David Hakobyan.
All proceeds from these inspiring gatherings were directed to support MEM and Mshakutamet projects.
Details here.
We successfully hosted 4 breakfast meetings, 6 wine-tasting evenings, and an educational trip to Gyumri (featuring 80+ participants and 3 expert speakers).
Throughout these 11 wonderful gatherings, we brought together young people from Artsakh and various regions, including ACA and Munk School alumni, as well as youth representatives from MEM, Bardzunk, and Student House organizations.
The funds we collected during these events supported various initiatives including MEM, Bardzunk, the "Culture of Failure" podcast, and several cultural projects.
Details of the report are here.

There are some talents with whom we come away with great energy and knowledge. One of them is folklorist Alina Pakhlevanyan, with whom we had a very productive breakfast.
🎤 The cheapest instrument is the throat. there was no song, there was no opera, the people had to satisfy the demand for art by serving themselves," says our speaker, folklorist Alina Pakhlevanyan.

Your support means the world to us, and together, we're making a real difference! So, what have we done with the funds we've collected so far?
We recently hosted 2 educational-charitable breakfast events, bringing together 29 participants, including kids from various regions and Artsakh.
At the first breakfast, Arqmenik Nikoghosyan, a literary critic and senior researcher at the "Manuk Abeghyan" Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, shared with us his insights on "Linguistic Thinking: Why and How to Think in Armenian."
At the second breakfast, Samson Avedian, director of the "eqwefy" and "AICA" organizations, and lecturer at the American University of Armenia, shared invaluable wisdom on "Financial Systems, Proper Money Management, and Investments."
Exciting news! Thanks to your generosity, we've allocated 50% of the funds from these breakfasts to establish an "Armath" lab in the village of Artimet and to expand the "10:30 Club" model to other regions.
Your ongoing monthly donations are the backbone of our efforts, and we're incredibly grateful for your commitment.
