Our projects are aimed at generating new ideas in the field of conceptual photography, looking for new means of expressing ideas, and spreading our ideas with the help of photography.
The photo book created by our students will allow us to raise our voices before the public, express ourselves in the field of conceptual photography, and face the challenges of non-commercial photography.
The book of photography projects is intended for photographers and people engaged in photography.
The main picture shows one example of each of the four elements. We will present the book to various art centers and places where artists visit a lot.
The money is not very much, but it is very important for students. They are taking their first steps, aren't they? If 250 people give 1000 drams each or the expense of a cup of coffee, this way they will invest in the future of our students and the current situation of conceptual photography.
Influence
The field of conceptual photography is not yet as developed as, for example, documentary photography. Conceptual photography projects are not popular in Armenia either, it is still neglected in our society.
It can also be a good example for other representatives of the industry, who prefer commerce for financial reasons, putting aside the content, the thought, the idea.
The problem
The field of conceptual photography is still neglected in our society.
Establishing yourself in the field of photography is a very difficult process, especially for novice photographers. Learners can quickly become disappointed, and be afraid of non-commercial, content photography.
Solution
What has been done?
- Four photographers identified stories that unite people and turned them into images, each project having a social issue at its core.
- A price survey was made for printers and the most suitable option was chosen, where the photo booklets will be printed.
We have started a fundraising campaign through which:
- Photographic Project Booklet Printing
- Printing of pictures, postcards for the photo book exhibition.

- Photographers - The members of our team are Julia Asryan, Sofi Arakelyan, Tamara Aghasyan, Knar Harutyunyan, students of the photography department of the college of "Mkhitar Sebastatsi" educational complex.

On September 17, at 13:00, the presentation of the Four Elements photo book took place.
Between April and July, we collected the necessary amount with the help of various individuals. The students also contributed to the fundraising by offering their services (photography). We have gathered 38.5% of our target amount. Our goal was to engage the students responsibly and actively, and this is what we achieved. We decided and agreed to have the number of our photographic booklets printed according to the amount collected.
In July and August, the photographic booklets will be received from the College’s web design department and instructor Lena Nalbandian and will be printed at Egea Printing House. We will hold an open exhibition and presentation at the College of the Educational Complex, inviting all donors, partners, and potential partners by creating and promoting an event on our social media, and sending personal invitations.
The collected funds have not been spent because they were intended for printing, which we have not yet started.
